As a newbie to the online marketing space, I needed a book that would walk me through the concepts and explain things to me in a way that I could understand. Content Rich was exactly what I needed to read..it helped me reduce the learning curve and got me up to speed right away. I have already recommended the book to 3 of my friends…if you are a small business owner with a limited or non-existent web presence, this book could change everything for you. It has for me.

The sub-subtitle of this book is “The Complete SE0 Copywriting Guide for Search Engine Rankings and Sales Conversion” which caught my eye immediately. Like anyone else that has an online business, I’m always striving to keep my sites in high rankings with the search engines. With millions and millions of sites and each one of us competing for the top stops, we need to keep on top of the how-to. Jon Wuebben’s book is the how-to from beginning to end!

It has been a slow go for me to get through this book because every page, and I mean every page, has something on it that needs to be done or checked out. For example Wuebben says “Here is something you should do right now; jump on to Google and type in “site: http://www.yourdomain.com” – fill in your domain with whatever your site URL is. What pops up are all your titles and descriptions for pages indexed by Google. Are they all the same? That needs to change! Every page needs unique titles and descriptions.” I did this immediately and yes, we need to change. In fact, we are in the process of doing that now. We used a template before that entered the same thing on every page. Well, we are finding out this isn’t the right way to go and have to change near 5000 pages manually! This is a big thanks to Jon Wuebben.

There is so much information in this book it could be very overwhelming, however, it is also information that is extremely important for anyone who has a web-based business. Wuebben covers things like SEO website copyrighting, going viral, pay per click, and outsourcing. He also gives case studies as well as resources.

“Content Rich” gives concise and relevant information for today’s business world. Wuebben dispels the mysteries and takes away the fears of the “not knowing” about the World Wide Web and how it functions. Upbeat and conversational type of language is straightforward making understanding the concepts a breeze. This is a must-have book by all the millions of website owners.

I purchased this book a couple of months ago. I have been creating webpages since the late 90’s and thought I knew a thing or two about organizing and manipulating web content. _Content Rich_ has broadened and expanded my perspective and understanding of what it takes to create a competitive online presence.

I meant to buy this book a long time ago but got around to it only recently. It’s one of the best investments freelance writing business. I’ve read books and other resources on SEO writing before. And not all of what is said in the book is new to me. Yes, most of it is common knowledge to people somewhat familiar with SEO. However, this book differs in its step-by-step, non-condescending, practical approach to the process. I like the way Jon Wuebben builds the reader’s confidence, reassuring us that Yes, (almost) anyone (interested in writing to market/sell/promote) can learn how to write SEO copy effectively. It’s not rocket science. But there is some science to it. The book covers SEO writing for websites, emails, press releases, blogs and a few other types of content. Besides providing SEO writing tips, the author also suggests that there is a huge market of Mom and Pop shops and small to medium sized businesses available out there to freelance writers and copywriters willing to seek them out. So, in a sense, SEO writing has only just taken off, although it may seem like it has advanced by leaps and bounds in the past couple of years. A good buy and a must for every web writer’s shelf. I hope to see social media writing( SEO tweeting and keyword rich FaceBooking?) addressed in future editions.
