So you might of heard about hosting, so how does it work? Well web hosting is a service provided by allot of companies around the world. It’s normally better to find a hosting company that is in your country but especially in Australia you will find that they are more expensive, and I’m not sure why. So why do you need website hosting? Well because every time someone visits your website they are actually downloading information of your website/ server where your website is hosted. So can you host it on your computer? Well, Yes but really no and to be totally honest you really would need to be super tech savvy and have all the programs to run it but also to secure it. It would end up costing you allot more than it would if you where to pay someone to host your website. So why do they do it? It’s because they are an actually business it’s not just someone in thier basement with a couple servers it’s levels of buildings with expensive hardware, deicated to providing fast & reliable hosting.
So where can you host your website Well if you simply “Google” web hosting you will find hundreds of website that will offer webhosting, as for which one is the best? Well it depends on what you need it to do and how much band width, download and web space you need, and of course how much you’re willing to pay to per month to have your website hosted.
