The Major Things to Consider When Buying Misspelled eBay Auctions

The Major Things to Consider When Buying Misspelled eBay Auctions

While buying and reselling misspelled auctions is a fantastic eBay business opportunity, there are ways that you can maximise your profit potential. This system, when performed effectively and to its maximum potential, can provide you with an income stream that could substitute your job’s salary. The best part of this system is that eBay sellers are constantly making mistakes and auctions are constantly being listed incorrectly and you will always be able to take advantage of the incompetence of these auction sellers.

Major Consideration #1

Make sure the items you buy are high value products. There is no point buying a small product for and then selling it for . Firstly, your selling price will barely cover your purchase price and eBay listing, final value and Paypal fees. Plus, even if you do make a profit, it will be hardly worth the effort of listing the auction, dealing with questions, negotiating with the buyer, packaging the product and shipping it to your buyer. You might have to sell 1000 items like these per day to make any decent money.

Wouldn’t it be more profitable and time saving to buy a high value product for 0 and sell it for 0? After the purchase and sales process is over, you should have a profit of about 0. Not bad for an hour or two’s work and you would only need one sale like this per day in order to make a full time business out of this eBay selling opportunity.

Major Consideration #2

When doing your misspelled eBay search, it is always best to search by brand name rather than product type. For example it is best to search for ‘Diesel’ rather than ‘Jeans’. This way it is much easier to find completed listings on eBay for the same item and you can check what past selling prices have been.

Major Consideration #3

This is the most important consideration when re-selling your item.

‘Make sure you list it correctly!’

If you resell it the same way the previous seller did, then you will experience the same results and make no money for a lot of work. Always double check your auction before listing because once there has been a bid, there is no way to change your auction.

Follow those three major considerations and you will be able to buy and resell eBay auctions for huge profits with minimal outlay of time and money.

Ebay Newbie: Bidding And Buying On Ebay: Bonus Or Bogus?

Ebay Newbie: Bidding And Buying On Ebay: Bonus Or Bogus?

You’re undoubtedly heard about people getting great deals on items they bought through eBay. If you’re a bit envious and ready to try your hand, here’s your chance to learn more.

Exactly What Is An eBay?

It’s an online auction website, in fact the biggest one in the world. You know how an auction works — someone puts up something they want to sell and then buyers come along and place bids on it. The highest bid wins the item.

Being an online auction makes eBay a bit different, though. eBay accepts almost any item, no matter how small, and will then advertise it on their sites all over the world.

How Does Bidding On eBay Work?

Bidding on eBay is a little more complex than a normal auction. On eBay, you enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item, and then eBay places the bids on your behalf. You could enter a maximum bid of 0 for something, and end up paying only , if that was sufficient to win.

The best introduction to eBay is to dive in and give it a try. First, you need to go to the eBay website for your country. If you don’t know the address, just go to www.ebay.com and you will find it. Once you have the front page of your country’s website, you should see a big box marked “esearch.” Just type into the box anything that you’d like to buy.

When you enter an item, say an opal ring, the website gives you a list of opal rings for sale, along with how much people are currently bidding for them, and the time when bidding ends for that item. Click on each of the listed items, and you can read the description. If you find an item you want, and are willing to pay more than the current highest bidder, then it’s time to enter the fray.

How Can I Buy What I Want?

On the item’s description page, scroll down to the bottom and type the maximum you are willing to pay into the box. Then click the “eplace bid” button. At this point you will need to sign in, or go through a quick registration process if you are new.

eBay will let you know if someone else’s maximum bid on that item is higher than yours, and you’ll have an opportunity to change your bid. Otherwise, you’re now the new highest bidder! You can sit back and wait until the end of the auction. Meanwhile, if someone else outbids you, eBay will notify you by email, and you can revise your bid.

Sounds like a fun shopping experience, doesn’t it? Well, if you’re ready, it’s time to jump into the eBay.

Buying On eBay: Significance of Checking Feedback

Buying On eBay: Significance of Checking Feedback

Are you interested in using eBay to shop online? If you are, you are definitely not alone, as eBay is one of the most popular online marketplaces.  As you likely already know, eBay is an online auction website; an online auction website that allows internet users to post items that they have in their possession, but not longer want or need, for sale.  While this tends to give you a large number of products to choose from, it can make getting scammed on eBay relatively easy; however, there is a way that you cannot fall victim to some of the most common eBay scams.  That way involves checking feedback.

If this is your first time using eBay, you may not necessarily know that buyers and sellers are able to leave each other feedback; in fact, they are encouraged to do so.  Now, if another eBay buyer, just like you, were to have a positive experience, like they got their item in a timely matter and it was what they expected, they would be likely to leave a positive feedback.  Positive feedbacks are marked with green circles with plus signs in them.  On the other hand, if an eBay buyer has a negative experience, like they never received their item or it was in poor condition, a negative comment may be left.  Negative comments are market by red circles with negative signs in them.  In addition to positive or negative comments, eBay buyers are also able to leave neutral comments, which are commonly used when a problem arose, but the seller in question fixed it in a timely matter.  Also, next to the positive, negative, or neutral markings, eBay buyers can also leave comments.

Although you might not necessarily think about it, the feedback that an eBay seller has can give you insight into the type of service that you may receive. As a way, this feedback serves as reputation for an eBay seller.  When shopping at a traditional retail store, there is a good chance that you wouldn’t shop at a store that is known for selling poor quality products or a store that has poor customer service.  The same thinking should be applied when using eBay.  You don’t want to business with an eBay seller that has a number of poor feedback ratings, as it is a sign of what may come.

If you are interested in examining the feedback of an eBay seller, you can easily do so.  When visiting an online auction listing page, say a listing for a new set of hair clippers, in the right hand corner there should be a “Meet the Seller,” section. That section has information on the seller’s eBay feedback, as well as a link that you can click to see each individual feedback rating. You are urged to click that link.  When examining an eBay seller’s feedback, you need to remember that it is not uncommon for a seller to deal with disgruntled customers; customers that may leave negative feedback for no reason at all.  That is why it is not uncommon to see a few negative feedback ratings; however, be on the lookout for any eBay seller who has an excessive number of them or a new eBay seller that has a large number of negative feedback ratings, as they are someone you should try and avoid.

In short, examining the feedback ratings or comments of an eBay seller will only take a few minutes of your time, but it may end up saving you a considerable amount of money.  When shopping on eBay, it is advised that you use your best judgment.  A number of negative feedback ratings may be a sure sign that an eBay seller may be out to scam you, in one way or another.

Six Steps Towards Successful Buying at Ebay Auctions

Six Steps Towards Successful Buying at Ebay Auctions

Buying on eBay can be very rewarding, either in terms of being able to pick up items cheaply or for hunting for hard to find items. Although generally the experience is good, there are instances where things can go badly wrong. These tips, based on experience over the last seven years, should help to avoid some of the potential pitfalls.

1. Make use of the various tools provided on eBay to ascertain the target price of items you are interested in. A simple way to do this is to ‘search’ for completed items.

2. Always check that there are no hidden costs associated with your potential bargain. These may include unspecified postage costs, or PayPal fees chargeable to the buyers. If in doubt e-mail the buyer and if you don’t get a response then don’t bid. Remember that when buying from overseas postage costs can be significant compared to the price of the item and also for more expensive items you may be liable to customs fees.

3. Check out the seller’s feedback. You should be aiming to buy from sellers with feedback of at least 98 per cent – if it is less and you are interested in an item read the feedback comments to satisfy yourself that the buyer provides a good service. In particular, read the neutral and negative feedback posts to try to work out what may have gone wrong with previous transactions.

4. Don’t get carried away and end up bidding more than need or want to. Some items appear very frequently on eBay and it may be worth setting yourself a limit and waiting for the next one to come along.

5. If you find you are often being outbid at the last moment, consider using sniping software which you can use to automatically submit a bid in the last few seconds of the auctions.

6. Where possible, use PayPal to pay for items on eBay. The sellers get their payment quickly, and there is a degree of protection for buyers if things go wrong. eBay (via My eBay) provides a number of tools for monitoring progress on your transaction.
