An Internet Home Business Needs To Build A Relationship With The Search Engines In Order To Survive

I write about owning an Internet Home Business because I own one and I have 30 plus years experience working with people who have worked from home long before computers were commonplace in homes. Owning an Internet Home Business has an added dilemma to the process of actually taking an idea, a concept, and making it an actual business, the problem of traffic and that relationship with the search engines.

Even though I have worked with thousands of people over their years in regards to their own business, I am a newbie to a large extent when it comes to me personally setting up shop on the Internet. It has been a very steep, sharp learning curve, one that is still creeping up on me. I have made some huge mistakes over the last year, ones that have cost me dearly in time, effort and resources. They say, “What does not kill you will make you stronger.” If that is the case, I am definitely much stronger than I was even a year ago.

I want to start to delve into the relationship between an Internet Home Business owner and the search engines at large. I will touch on a few of the areas that I think you should be aware of and need to pay some attention to. I will pull no punches, and in the process will tell you of some of the massive mistakes that I have made, in the hopes, you do not make them as well. If you are squeamish, you may want to stop reading here, the rest of this is very disturbing, especially when you consider I actually made these mistakes!

Mistake Number 1

I actually did not spend any time on picking or selecting any keywords for my web site, or for my content, or articles, for the fist 9 months that I was trying to make money on the Internet. There, I said it. I look back and I still cannot believe I made such a massive mistake. Yes, there is a great deal to do when you are starting an Internet Home Business. I have been doing it, off line, for 30 years, which makes my mistake even more embarrassing.

I basically wasted the first 9 months of my start on the Internet with this huge omission. I did do a lot of work, some of it is salvageable, but a large amount of it, because of it having no keywords, will be lost. That is my opinion, others have disagreed with me, but we all agree, a little of the proper work at the beginning, could of salvaged all of it.

In one sentence, you need keywords on everything you create, keywords will let the search engines find you, and in turn, will let the search engines’ customers find you. And that means that, hopefully, the traffic will start to flow to your Internet Home Business. When you think traffic for your business, you have to think keywords and search engines, all in one sentence. No keywords, no search engines, no traffic. Do not make the mistake that I made.

Mistake Number 2

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a combination of art form and science, take your pick of which one is more prevalent. Another glaring error that I made was this one: I made a web site with only one purpose in mind; to make it attractive and functional to my potential customers. How stupid was I! In the reality of owning an Internet Home Business, we have to serve two masters; one: our potential customers, and the other: the search engines. One without the other equals no business.

Building a web site without considering the design features that will make your site “search engines friendly” is like opening up a new business in the basement of your house and not telling anyone about it. It could be a great business, but if no one ever gets to see it, what’s the point? If you do not get indexed on the search engines, no one who uses the search engines to find web sites will ever get to see you.

You may not have known it at the time, but when you decide to set up shop on the Internet, you acquired a partner: the search engines. They may be a silent partner, but never forget their impact on your business and the power they have over us. If you want your Internet Home Business to be successful, be prepared to work closely with the search engines. They will be your best friend or your worse nightmare; it all depends upon you.

Techniques to Build a List Using the Power of Ebay

Techniques to Build a List Using the Power of Ebay

Discover the simple techniques to build a list using only the power of eBay.
Just two or three years ago, eBay was an absolute goldmine when it came to selling eBooks. It wasn’t hard to find a few eBooks and resell them for , or even up to . But now everything has changed.

It’s virtually impossible now to find an eBook on the internet and resell it on eBay for the prices stated above. Sure, for more help visit to: www.37-list-building-secrets.com. you can sell them for , maybe but with eBay’s ever increasing rising of sellers’ fees, there’s little profit to be made doing that.

Competition on eBay is fierce and it shows no sign of letting up. Selling higher priced eBooks is no longer an option (unless you write them yourself) and eBay should now be used as a ‘stepping stone’ for other online business ventures.
While the eBay market place may be more competitive than ever, there are also more buyers than ever before. The only problem is, these buyers are looking for cheap and free eBooks and that’s what you need to provide. For more detail go to: www.build-own-list.com. Once they’ve bought these niche eBooks for or , you hit them with the following steps so that you can squeeze more money from them initially and also turn them into a customer for life who constantly pumps cash into your bank account.

“Use eBay to generate paying customers to your other online businesses”

The above statement is probably the most important you’ll read in regards to eBay selling. The money is no longer on eBay when it comes to eBooks but instead you should:

Build a list – No matter what internet marketer you ask, I guarantee you that they would say “the money’s in the list”. It is often said that every subscriber on your list is worth approximately per month; however in some niches could be worth hundreds of dollars per year if you build your list in the right way and treat them right.

If you have a list you can also generate affiliate revenue by broadcasting an email to your list promoting a similar product. You can also generate ad sense revenue by posting an article on your website and sending all of your subscribers to the article. You can also promote higher priced resale rights products and even better, you could write your own eBooks and be guaranteed sales because you can always market to your list.
Do all of the above and you could turn a eBay eBook sale into a 0 per year or more paying customer? The money really is in the list and eBay is the best place to start building.
