Social Network Marketing ? Promoting By Virtual “word Of Mouth”

Social network marketing, though still in its infancy, is gaining acceptance by more and more companies. At one time, social media and marketing was considered only appropriate for those organizations targeting the Internet generation. However, in the last year, there has been an increase in the age range of those using this platform. As a result it has become feasible for a wide variety of businesses to adopt this into their marketing plan. It has always been important to properly target your audience, but on the web, a campaign that targets the wrong audience will adversely affect your bottom line.

It will not simply be ineffective. In social network marketing, people “talk”. They talk to you about how they feel about your product, ask questions and offer feedback. They also talk to each other. If you have gained the consumers trust and are targeting the right market and focusing on building relationships, rather than selling your products, your sales can soar. Successfully incorporating this type of marketing campaign requires that you communicate effectively and consistently. Generally speaking, consumers distrust businesses. It is often recommended that social network marketing campaigns be conducted as a person, rather than a business.

Building trust and creating relationships for a successful social network marketing campaign can be time consuming. But when done correctly, it can also be rewarding. If you enjoy getting to know your customers and are truly interested in what they have to say, this can be a fun, inexpensive way to increase exposure and build excitement about your business. One of the advantages to this kind of marketing is that it is immediate. Updates are often read shortly after a post has been made. This is particularly useful if you have a special purchase incentive you would like to promote, or when announcing a new product release.

Using social network marketing allows you to reach a larger customer base than you ever could by using a web site alone. It can attract attention and increase traffic on your website. Before beginning, there is one thing you need to consider. As previously mentioned, this type of marketing, though inexpensive is time consuming. Think about how much time you will be able to devote to these sites. Attention needs to be consistent, and if you are signed up with several, you could be spending a good portion of each day communicating and sending updates rather than focusing on other aspects of your business that also need attention.

Social network marketing is one of the easiest and most affordable ways that you can get your brand’s message out to the general public. Whether you’re in charge of a website design firm or a new restaurant you want to create buzz about, mastering social network marketing can have a huge impact on the amount of business you bring in. How? Below are the top 3 benefits:

Increased access to customer service and feedback. By having a presence on social networks like Twitter and Facebook, you’re able to instantly view (and properly take care of) any customer service issues that might arise. Get good feedback? You can forward it out to everyone in your network and take advantage of your own good press! Lead generation. Let’s say that you have a website design firm, and business has been slow. You can use programs like Tweet Deck to manage your Twitter account, and automatically get information about who is Tweeting about website design problems. If you have the program set up to look for keywords like “website design firm” or “website problems”, you’ll instantly know who is Tweeting about the subject…and you’ll be able to use that information to target them as potential clients. SEO link building. Every social networking page, Tweet and status update has the potential to help your company build SEO links. Make sure you take advantage of this opportunity whenever you can, and you will start to see an increase in web traffic. More web traffic can lead to more business, and more money in your pocket!

Social network marketing can be the best thing to ever happen to your business, if you do it correctly and stick to it. If you have no idea how to get started, invest some time in educating yourself on the subject. Social network marketing isn’t just a passing fad, so the time will be well spent.

Question by Scott Mcintyre: I have a great idea for a social network site. Looking for a business partner who could invest in my idea?
I think I have come up with a fantastic idea for a new social network site like FB,etc.
It would be totally different from anything else out there and advertisers would have maximum hits from it.
I have business experience but have no programming or any real internet marketing experience.
Looking for either someone to join me who can create the site or an investor who could fund it

The problem with social networks is that there are so many of them. You can’t expect people to maintain half a dozen profiles just because some friends are on one while others are on another. Also when a social network site folds, the contacts as well as the time and effort that went into the site goes with it and there has been enough social networks folding that people are wary of an unknown.

You see networks like FB federating with other sites to try and make their login ID more universal. Currently federating the login is the battleground for the social network. Social network sites are also trying to leverage email services in order to become the profile of choice. If your concept helps a user manage multiple social network sites, transfer and preserve contacts and content if the various sites should become defunct then you might have a chance but if your idea is just enhanced functionality then file it under the better mouse trap and forget about it.

Social network marketing is hands down one of the most effective ways to grow your business or organization on a grass roots level. However, if not done correctly, it can result in a serious backlash, turning prospective clients from within your niche market away from anything you have to offer. Stay true to two simple rules of thumb and your social network marketing campaign will be a success; ignore them and suffer the wrath of cyberspace.

Be Genuine

People are on social networks to hang out with their friends, to get to know new people and to talk about things that matter to them. Barging in to a social network site with your banner ads and trying to coerce prospective customers into clicking through to your own website amounts to social network marketing suicide.

Genuine interest in what is being discussed in your niche’s social marketing networks should be easy for you to conjure. After all, they love what you love. So get in there and make friends with new people and strike up real, genuine conversations. If you are not truly interested in the subject or if you do not have time to spend hours on social sites, hire someone from your niche market to do it for you. Place a simple link signature at the bottom of each post, so that people can check out your site when and if they please. A genuine approach to social network marketing will naturally result in higher sales, without irritating your target market and making them feel manipulated.

Add Value

Along with striking up genuine friendships while social network marketing, you should also post helpful information, entertaining links and free downloads for all to enjoy. Make sure that everything you are posting is primarily for the viewers’ benefit, not your own. It is a paradox for sure, but by giving things away free and doing it just to be nice, you will gain a loyal following faster than a slick marketing campaign ever could.

A weekly giveaway or a “quote of the day” that fits your niche market to a “t” is a great way to generate organically a growing interest in your company or organization, and all that you have to offer.

Social Network Marketing, Do It The Best Way

Social Network Marketing, Do It The Best Way

Are you looking to build your network marketing business on a massive scale? The social networks may be the answer you’re looking for. Sites such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook are fast becoming the new sources of traffic in our industry.

Due to the nature of an MLM business, social network sites really are a match made in heaven, after all its all about networking with other people. Relationship building is the name of the game in our industry.

One thing that’s important to remember is that we don’t want to become spammers by only promoting our opportunities. Most of our time on these networks should be connecting with prospects and finding new ones. I expect you have already seen your own fair share of spam on sites like Twitter and Facebook, and also YouTube in particular. Personally I find it a real turn off, I expect you do to.

You can go a long way in creating trust and friendships in social networking sites, you can also promote your own brand, products and content, plus there is the advantage of increased exposure, if people like the stuff you are sharing then they may well share it with their friends also. Using these networks properly could make you very popular online.

It makes good business sense to harness the power of social network marketing and you should invest whatever time and money you need to become good at it. It’s just too powerful to miss.

Here are two ways you can use social networks

Facebook – Ensure you’ve set up an account on Facebook for business purposes. It’s a great way to connect with your prospects and also great for finding new ones! Search for new friends there who have similar interests to you. Search and join groups in your niche. More people will be able to find you the more groups you join, you will also get people adding you as a friend. Join about 200 groups and watch your friend requests go crazy!

The latest Facebook strategy is ‘fan pages’ these are very powerful and you should set one up for yourself and/or your business. Every time someone hits the ‘Like’ button they join your fan page and you can then easily keep in contact with these people en mass. It is just like building a list but only a list of people that already like you. Create some sort of lead magnet/offer so that when folks arrive at your fan page that have the incentive to opt in to your capture page, which can be directly on your fan page, or an external webpage.

Bookmarking sites – These are great sites for posting your content, when people come across your articles/videos they can share it with their friends if they find it useful, they can also vote for/like it at the push of a button. There is the potential for massive exposure using these sites and you will of course be getting extra backinks to your content which is a good thing. Google is paying a lot of attention these days to links from social book marking sites, so that means higher rankings in the search engines and more traffic for you! Whenever you create a new piece of content and upload it somewhere, social bookmark it, you can use the free tool Onlywire.com to do this for you on autopilot:)

There isn’t enough room here to go into the other three very powerful social network marketing strategies. Using these strategies in conjunction with my content marketing strategy it won’t be too long until you are getting 25 or more leads to your business every day.

This particular social network marketing approach will continue to work like a charm for your online business if utilized in full. You can watch all of the training videos for this approach at the J Hicks MLM website.

Social networking is here to stay. Sites like Facebook and Twitter have touched a cord with the public. Millions flock to their accounts daily just to stay connected to the people and businesses that matter to them. While it may not seem relevant on the surface, successful business owners are finding ways to generate revenue and enhance customer service all through the unique advantages of social network marketing.

First and probably most important, social networking is convenient for customers. A properly managed account will give business owners instant access to customer feedback. This can prove invaluable quickly. If your customers see that you are putting effort into your social media account, they will respond in many ways. They will let you know what you are doing well, what you should improve on and how your product or service has made a difference in their lives. This is an incredible tool for further marketing efforts because any helpful feedback you receive can be used to attract more clients or add profitable products to your product line.

Social networking sites also give you a way to generate traffic and revenue by offering special incentives to those who follow your page. Discounts and promotions are popular among businesses that are using social media as an effective marketing tool. Not only does this get more customers to your store or website, but it also allows you and your customers to see the value in the social networking relationship. Attracting users to your Facebook page is the first hurdle, keeping them as friends and fans is the next. Give them a reason to come back often.

Social network marketing is more convenient to you the business owner as well. Connecting with your customers on Facebook or Twitter is often a faster and more effective way to communicate with them. Most users check their social accounts and friends/contacts nearly as often as they do their email. If there are issues that arise with a product, your main website or even the news media, you can keep customers in the know just by making a simple page update. The communication advantages alone can show immediate ROI for many businesses resistant to technological changes. Twitter is a great way to connect with your customers easily and quickly day or night.

Using social media often and appropriately shows your customers your positive intent about your business. Embracing modern technology is a way of showing progress and forward thinking within the hierarchy of your company. When customers see that you have an eye on the future, they will help you spread the word.

Finally, social media is becoming a necessary part of the overall branding initiative that you should have as a business. Branding is important to longevity. The more ways that you can show your customer base that you are out there, the better the odds will be that your business will connect with them and convert sales. That alone makes social media worth the effort.

From social media monitoring to find out what others are saying about your business to posting your latest news on Facebook there are many new ways to meet and interact with customers and potential customers online. Finding the niches that will help your business the most is the key to maximizing your resources when investing time or money in social network marketing.
